This page explains how users of Groopia can request the deletion of their account and the associated personal data. If you would like to learn more about how we process personal data, please also read our Privacy Policy.
You can delete your Groopia account in two ways:
You can delete your account directly in the profile settings of the Groopia app. Deleting your account in the app will also initiate the deletion of your Groopia account and the personal data associated with it, unless we are required by law or have a legitimate reason to retain certain data for a limited period of time.
Alternatively, you can request the deletion of your Groopia account by email: service@groopia.com

Please include the email address or phone number linked to your Groopia account so that we can clearly identify your account.
Once your deletion request has been processed successfully, or once you delete your account in the app, we will delete your Groopia account and the personal data associated with it, where applicable.
Account registration data, such as your email address or phone number
Profile information, such as your display name, profile picture, and personal profile details
App-related account data associated with your user profile
Other personal data linked to your Groopia account, unless retention is legally required
In certain cases, we may retain limited data for a restricted period if this is necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, billing-related documentation, security purposes, or to enforce our legal rights.
Technical or security-related records may be retained for up to 90 days, if necessary.
Data that must be retained under applicable law may be stored for the legally required retention period and deleted afterwards.
We aim to process account deletion requests as quickly as possible. In most cases, requests are handled within a reasonable period after verification of the account owner. In some cases, technical backups, security logs, or legally required records may take longer to be fully removed.
If you delete your account through the profile settings in the app, this also counts as a request to delete the account and the associated data in accordance with this page.
If you have an active subscription purchased through Google Play or the App Store, deleting your Groopia account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscriptions must be managed and cancelled separately through the respective platform.
